It is a huge team effort to keep the Foundation schools running smoothly, deliver the best teaching and learning, take care of our pupils, support our parents and maintain our campuses year round.

    The Princethorpe Foundation

    The Princethorpe Foundation is looking for exceptional individuals who are able to shape the future of the Foundation and its three schools and nursery. 

    The role involves setting the vision and strategic direction of the Foundation together with the senior leadership team to maintain its ethos and ensure the quality of education for some 1,400 children aged 2 to 18.  

    Trustees are expected to attend four Governing Body meetings a year and normally attend one or two sub-committees according to their interests and experience. The Governing Body is responsible for the provision of education, overseeing budget allocation, agreeing on policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.  

    Trustees are keen that we have a wide range of expertise, experience and backgrounds within the Governing Body. Core skills which are covered include: Education, Business Expertise, Law, Human Resources, Governance, Finance and Property. 

    Trustees ensure an understanding of the schools through visits and will receive appropriate induction and safeguarding training, 

    Trustees are guardians of the Catholic ethos of the Foundation based on friendship, kindness, compassion and love. We aim to prepare our pupils to be positive and active members of our diverse society, being generous of spirit in serving others. We want them to lead happy and fulfilled lives by giving them a deep understanding of the core values needed to build happy and healthy relationships.

    The Foundation is a registered charity, and trustees are also directors and members of the limited company. 

    The aim is to provide a first-rate independent education and to create outstanding schools.

Opportunities at Princethorpe College

From time to time we look to recruit additional teaching and support staff in the following areas:

  • Exam Invigilators – to assist in the smooth running of internal and public examinations
  • SEND support staff – for in-class, small group and one-to-one work with pupils
  • Cover Teaching Staff – being part of a team available for short-term and long-term supply work
  • Games Coaching – to assist with our wide-ranging sports programme
