Film and Photography Hire
Princethorpe College offers a range of impressive and unique historical and contemporary locations for film and photography shoots.
Founded originally as a Benedictine Monastery in 1832, the College is one of the country’s leading Catholic independent day schools and is set in 200 acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside.
Facilities:
We have a wealth of potential locations on campus including:
- a Gothic Revival Chapel with 100-foot-high Tower,
- tiled cloister corridors,
- a Library with stained glass,
- murals and an ornate wooden ceiling,
- a central Quad garden traditionally planted
- dining hall,
- cellars
- modern classroom buildings including a new state-of-the-art Science Centre.
The Chapel
The exquisite Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, was consecrated in 1901. Designed by Peter Paul Pugin, son of Augustus Welby Pugin, it boasts stunning stained glass and frescoes designed by Joseph Pippet and Hardman and Company of Birmingham respectively.
Outside
Outside the College is set in 200 acres of leafy Warwickshire countryside including;
- landscaped grounds,
- a walled former Orchard,
- grass fields, meadows,
- woodland,
- a small lake

- large sports hall,

- an AstroTurf pitch,

- We have a number of inside spaces suitable to act as Green Rooms, Costumes and Make-up and extensive grounds for marquees.
- Ample hard standing parking for vehicles, equipment and unit bases is available.
- Electricity/water and catering can be provided dependent on the location of your shoot
Exclusive and Non-Exclusive Hire Options
Exclusive hire of our 200-acre site is available or for smaller-scale shoots, we can find the perfect location within the venue to suit your needs and scale of production for non-exclusive hire options.
Location
Easily accessible from both the M1, M40, M42 and M45, the College is centrally located in the Midlands, equidistant from Leamington, Rugby and Coventry and 40 minutes from central Birmingham. Local roads are able to support the access of large vehicles.
